Miley Cyrus Shows City of Hope Sweet Side

Teen sensation Miley Cyrus, all sugar and spice, showed her sweet side Sunday, giving up jogging and Lattes to headline the second annual Concert of Hope, Oct. 25, in Los Angeles.

She was joined on stage by teen stars Demi Lovato and Jesse McCartney at the Nokia Theatre in downtown Los Angeles.

The concert was held to fund cancer research and treatment programs at the City of Hope, a leading cancer center and hospital in Duarte, Calif., just northeast of LA.

City of Hope has been named one of “America’s Best Hospitals” in cancer and urology by U.S.News & World Report.

Miley looked hot on stage in short, black leather pants, a black sequined tank top, a white vest and calf-high black boots.

Cyrus has gotten behind the program in a big way. She also is donating $1 from every ticket sold during her current Wonder World Tour to City of Hope programs.

During her last tour, Cyrus raised more than $2 million dollars through ticket sales . This is Cyrus’ second year supporting the hospital.

Last year, she joined the Jonas Brothers and Lovato and helped raise more than $1.2 million.

The hospital and research center is one of 40 institutions across the country to be designated a Comprehensive Cancer Center by the National Cancer Institute.

It’s also a founding member of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network. It’s independent biomedical research, treatment and education programs also focus on diabetes, HIV/AIDS and other life-threatening diseases.

The center is situated on a park-like campus just northeast of Los Angeles, but it is supported by philanthropists from across the country.
